Jude completed preparations for Pat's return home by tidying up the yard and displaying a new garden flag purchased in St. Charles during a shopping expedition with a friend. "Pat loves coneflowers", thought Jude to herself as she considered which flag to purchase, "this one will curry her favor." |

Once the place was all spiffed, Jude took time to paint some "critters." With the craft fair coming up in October there is little time to waste! |
| Kitty never worries about the impression she might make. She always does as she pleases, which is usually just finding a warm spot to nap. |  |

Temme too needed to catch up on her sleep. She had a terrible bout with fleas which kept her up scratching all night. |
| At last she's home. In no time Pat's position on the couch was reestablished. |  |
