Jude is happy to present to you something we've all been waiting for: Larry's latest stick creations! As Pat is wont to tell Sissy, Jude's pet Shih Tzu, "Don't let your eyeballs pop out!"

The stick above Larry calls "Stars and Stripes." It was finished in March, 2007 and is Larry's 26th carving. The stick is carved of cedar wood, stained then finished with polyurethane.

The stick below is called "Candy Cane." It is carved of pine, finished with lacquer. Larry complete this, his 27th carving, in April, 2007.

You can probably figure out the name of the stick below. If you guessed "Grasshopper," you are smarter than you look! Notice the detail on this one. It's a beauty. The stick was carved from wild cherry wood and finished in June, 2007. It is Larry's 28th carving.

The stick on the right is called "Pelican". Larry started this, his 29th carving, on the first day of his vacation in Destin, Florida, June 10, 2007, finishing it on July 16. He brought a log and his tools and worked on the stick while sitting on the beach or on his balcony facing the beach. The wood is sycamore, a type he'd never worked before. He found that it carves well and has beautiful color and grain. Now sycamore and wild cherry have become his favorites. In finishing, Larry applied a medium brown stain and brush-on clear lacquer.

'Pencil' is the name of this stick which Larry carved of sycamore. Although it appears to be a simple carving, Larry said it was a bit tricky to get the six sides equal in size and consistent from top to bottom. The stick was painted then finished with brush-on lacquer. Larry said the yellow color was tough to keep clean, showing every speck of dirt and any smudges. He had to repaint parts of it over and over. It is Larry's 30th carving.

Thanks, Larry, for sharing these great pictures. Keep up the good work and keep sending us pictures of your marvelous stick creations. They are completely unique and astounding!

That's all, Folks!
