Welcome back, Phamily and Phriends!
Here are Larry's most recent stick creations. Larry calls them "The Walnut Group" because they were all carved of prunings from his own walnut tree.
All the sticks in this group are stained and polished. Some are also waxed to enhance the sheen. They are lacquered only over painted areas to protect the paint.
These first three are called Pumpkin, Snake and Note.

Larry said he enjoyed making The Walnut Group because each could be completed in just a couple of days. Part of the ease came from the fact that they were all carved from small limbs. He says they were a nice break and a sort of experiment. Now he is ready for something more challenging.

The stick above, called Dragon, is not of the Walnut Group. Larry carved it for his son Alan from a small bat which Alan's friend had made on his lathe. The type of wood is unknown.

Some of Larry's ideas for future sticks include: "Petroglyphs," "African Masks," and "Elephants."

We look forward to seeing these and more amazing sticks on future Jude's Pages.

Thanks for sharing these pictures with us, Larry,
and keep up the good work!
